Corporate email security market growing to $5 billion by 2011, says Radicati Group

Stopping spam remains one of the top messaging priorities for most organizations, according to a study released this week by Radicati Group. The email security study finds the past year's image spam and botnet attacks have overwhelmed many corporate email networks. In addition, the study finds appliance-based solutions and hosted email security services driving market growth and increasingly displacing many software-based security solutions.

The Radicati Group forecasts the email security market to grow from $3.3 billion in 2007, to more than $5 billion in 2011. The appliance-based solutions and hosted email security services segments are forecasted to experience strong growth throughout the next four years. Currently, these solution segments are gaining due to their ease of deployment and simplicity.
